When Maddie suggested we do her and David’s pre-wedding shoot in the glasshouses of the Glasgow Botanics I was SO excited!! I had never shot in a glasshouse before and I can safely say I would happily do it again and again. The lighting, the plants, the colours, and of course - the couple. The whole afternoon was wonderful and I’m looking forward to being a part of their wedding day in May.
I absolutely loved working on these images! Pre-wedding shoots are becoming a favourite of mine. I love having that one-to-one (or should I say one-to-two) time with a couple without having to rush or feel pressed for time like we often do on a wedding day. They get a chance to see how I work, see how they feel in front of the camera and the outcome is usually a much more relaxed bride & groom when it comes to taking the bride & groom portraits on their wedding day when it arrives.
This pair had me giggling throughout the shoot! They’re such a warm and vibrant couple, and Maddie was great at directing herself and David - I think she’d be great at coming with me to shoots to help give direction to couples!
