Joy & Pete // Edinburgh Wedding Photographer

I’m finding it hard to put into words how much I loved photographing Joy & Pete’s wedding day! These guys were an absolute blast and their friends & family were just full of laughter and love. What more do you need for a perfect wedding?

Joy’s dress was a ivory version of the dress that Kiera Knightley wore in Atonement (and it’s seriously beautiful!), Pete wore an astounding tartan suit and together they were probably the most wildly stylish couple I’ve worked with - it was awesome!

Their date also landed on the day of Edinburgh’s LGBT Pride march which just happened to be starting at the same time their ceremony was due to start and on the same street that the church was on. Oops! This, however, made for an exciting and unique start to the day - with everyone dancing and having a great time while we waited for the crowd to pass and Joy to arrive ever so slightly behind schedule. It was absolutely worth it!

The wedding had some adorable personal details - including lots of flamingos and pineapples (including pineapple cufflinks on Pete’s sleeves!) AND their favours were gorgeous umbrellas with “J&P” on them. I love when weddings have extra personal touches and keepsake favours!

The day was rounded of with LOTS of dancing and Joy surprised Pete with one of his favourite songs for their second dance - keep a look out for his reaction because it’s ADORABLE!
