Hello there, you lovely couple!
Thank you for considering me and getting in touch in your search for a photographer!
Visiting Glencoe and the highlands is not just about one big photo opportunity - it’s about having a real experience! I would love for you to get everything you could possibly want from it - the views, the weather, the drive and, to top it all off, a collection of images you’ll love to look back on time and time again for the rest of your lives together.
Below are the details of my full Glencoe & Highlands package. If you would like to book a similar package for another location just let me know and we can look at travel and such to come up with a personalised quote.
Coverage
Generally speaking, a Glencoe/Highlands shoot will last up to 4 hours by the time we get driving and stop off at different areas and do some exploring! Please note that if you would like to guarantee more than 4 hours of cover then an extra hourly rate of £125 per hour will apply.
Location
Glencoe is an amazing place! There are lots of beautiful nooks and sweet spots around the area and I love trying out new places and finding different hidden spots to take photos, so while we can do the main focal points, I’d also love to take you exploring - it’s all part of the experience!
Travel
There’s some more info on this in the FAQ sections below, but travel costs are included in the investment price - so no hidden extra fees to deal with! I live in Edinburgh but I have a car and I just love the Glencoe drive!
Investment
£750
Frequently Asked Questions
WILL OUR IMAGES BE EDITED AND CAN WE PRINT THEM OURSELVES FROM OUR USB?
Yes! All of the images you receive will be edited by me, using the industry standard Photoshop and Lightroom where I'll apply my editing style and creativity. You will receive two sets of digital images - a high quality set for printing and a print release so you can print them to your heart's content, and a resized web resolution without watermarks which you can use to share online. Since I don’t use watermarks on any of the images, all I ask is that you pop a link to my website or Facebook page in the description/caption of the image.
CAN YOU DRIVE US OUT THERE WITH YOU?
I certainly can - I have a car and I love having company on long journeys!
I am based in Edinburgh and more than happy to pick you up if you live within Edinburgh or en-route to Glencoe. If you are based further afield you could get the train to Edinburgh Waverley and I can pick you up from there, or if you’d like me to come and pick you up we can work that in as an additional fuel cost.
If you are planning on venturing around after the shoot, you could take your car out there, we can meet at a cafe and then I can drive us around during the shoot then drop you back off to your car afterwards.
HOW DOES THE JOURNEY/ROUTE WORK ON THE DAY?
If you would like to travel with me, then it’s simply a case of us driving out there and we’ll pull over at any spots we like the look of on the way! We’ll hit up some really awesome locations and then finish up with the big finale of Glencoe itself! We’ll head to the Three Sisters spot which is lovely at sunset and there’s another stunning spot just a little farther along into Glencoe.
If you are travelling in your own car, it’s also pretty easy - we’ll meet at a local cafe, grab a quick cuppa and have a chat then you can either hop into the car with me (meaning you’ll both get to enjoy the views instead of one of you driving!) or you can follow up behind me and I’ll just indicate whenever there’s a spot that I think would be great to take photos at.
The meeting spot is really not far from Glencoe - about a 20 minute drive outside and before it - so if you’re heading back out of Glencoe in the same direction you came then hopping in the car with me is the best option for both fuel costs and also so you can have the full experience of seeing Glencoe without having to focus your eyes on the driving part! If you’re heading straight through Glencoe and travelling further into the Highlands, car sharing with me for the shoot will add around 40 minutes onto the journey right after the shoot, but if you would like to enjoy the views from a passenger perspective and you’re not strapped for time it’s definitely worth it!
WHAT IF THE WEATHER IS BAD?
I have shot in Glencoe in different types of weather - from icy cool November to warm but misty May and crazy wild rain in June (meanwhile, it was the hottest day of the year in Edinburgh… Classic!). The bottom line is - if you’re up for it, I’ll probably be up for it! I love adventure and often the best images happen when the weather is really dramatic in the Highlands. I have protective covering for my camera and I’m not worried about getting myself a bit soaked. I let my couples decide what they would rather do - shoots can (usually) be rescheduled if things are bit too much out there, so as long as we keep an eye on the forecast in the days leading up to the shoot we can plan ahead and work it out. A bit of rain is no problem - but if it’s absolutely torrential then we may want to reconsider!
HOW LONG DO WE HAVE TO WAIT FOR OUR IMAGES?
Your full digital set will be ready and delivered online within 8-12 weeks, dependant on the time of year and whether or not your shoot lands in the busy season. You will receive a collection of preview images within 2 weeks of your shoot.
WE’VE SEEN YOUR WEBSITE PORTFOLIO, CAN I SEE MORE EXAMPLES?
Of course! My blog posts have a lot of the photos from each shoot I publish, however if you would like to see a full set or two just let me know and I can send you some full galleries to check out.
If you would to like to view any full online galleries, you can click here which will take you to my client gallery site. You can then request passwords from me for whichever galleries you would like to view. If you are looking for examples of weddings in locations/venues similar to yours, I can guide you on which ones will suit best.
HOW DO WE BOOK YOU?
All you need to do to book me is contact me via an e-mail to let me know your thoughts and if you’d like to meet in person before booking we can arrange a time to discuss packages. Then, if you’d like to go ahead with your booking you just fill out a booking form, pay a £300 booking fee and we’re all good to go. Easy peasy!
Thank you so much for your time and consideration. I hope to hear from you again soon!
