Frequently Asked Questions

I love to chat to people and I'm always happy to answer questions, however I understand that you may want some questions answered before getting back in touch - so here are some questions I'm frequently asked at the point of enquiry and throughout the booking process...

WILL OUR IMAGES BE EDITED?
Yes! Each of the images you receive will be edited by me, using the industry standard Photoshop and Lightroom where I'll apply my personal editing style and creativity. 

CAN WE PRINT THEM FROM OUR USB/OUR GALLERY?
Of course! You will receive a high quality set of digital files for printing and a print release so you can print them to your heart's content. You and your friends & family can also order prints via your online gallery and have them delivered directly to you.

DO YOU OFFER ALBUMS?
Yes! Albums start at around £100 and I offer an hourly paid service where my couples are involved in the entire process. You get to choose the design, the images, the layout, the cover options - everything, really! I also have "parent albums" available - which are discounted albums that you can gift to family.

DO YOU OFFER A USB & PRINTS?
As standard, my package includes a keepsake set of 10 prints (chosen by you) and a USB stick. You can opt for a personalised wooden box package with 50 prints and USB if that's more your style, or you can purchase an album. Or all of the above!

CAN YOU COVER BOTH SIDES OF PREPARATIONS?
As long as you're getting ready in places that are around 5 minutes away from each other - yes! I can go into more detail on this when we chat further, but if you're getting ready close enough to each other then I can split my time between the different prep locations.

CAN WE KEEP OUR IMAGES PRIVATE?
You absolutely can. I have a model release clause in my contract which is automatically set to approve me sharing images for promotional purposes. If you would like to keep your images private then please let me know and I will change this clause and not share any of your images. 

CAN WE SHARE THE IMAGES ONLINE?
Absolutely! You can download shareable sized images from your online gallery via your computer/phone/tablet devices. Since I don’t use watermarks on any of the images, all I ask is that you pop a link to my Instagram/website/Facebook page in the description/caption of the image.

HOW LONG DO WE HAVE TO WAIT FOR OUR IMAGES?
You will receive a small selection of preview images within 2 weeks of you wedding, then after that your full digital set should be ready and delivered online within 8 weeks after the wedding. There's sometimes a slightly longer wait towards the end of the season where the edit queue is at it's peak, however I aim to always deliver by 12 weeks maximum.

CAN YOU TRAVEL PRETTY MUCH ANYWHERE?
I certainly can - I have a car and I love to travel and am not averse to trains, planes and boats!
If your wedding is further afield and I require extra travel and/or accommodation this will be factored into your personal quote. There's a travel budget included for mainland Scotland, however if your venue is more than 2 hours drive from where I am based in Edinburgh, overnight accommodation will be required for safety reasons and will also be added into your quote. 

HOW LONG CAN YOU BE THERE ON THE DAY?
It pretty much depends on the plans/vibe of the day really! My average time at weddings is usually around 10-11 hours - from around 10:30/11am for the preparations until 30 mins/an hour after the first dance - I usually have everything I need by around 9pm. If you have booked a full day package and request guaranteed coverage beyond 9pm, overnight accommodation may be required for the night of the wedding and will be factored into your quote upon request. 

WE’VE SEEN YOUR WEBSITE PORTFOLIO, CAN WE SEE MORE EXAMPLES?
Of course! My blog posts have a lot of the photos from each wedding I publish, however if you would like to see a full wedding set or two just let me know and I can bring along my laptop to our meeting and show you more in-depth examples of my work, or I can send you some gallery links in an email.

WHAT HAPPENS IF YOUR PRICES CHANGE AFTER WE HAVE ENQUIRED?
My prices increase annually so it's unlikely that they will change mid-enquiry. However, once I have responded to your initial enquiry, your quote is valid for two weeks. If you confirm your booking with me within two weeks and my prices have changed, your package price will remain at the value you were originally quoted.

WHAT HAPPENS IF ANOTHER COUPLE ENQUIRE FOR OUR DATE?
As my inbox can get pretty hectic, I can't always keep track of which dates I have multiple enquiries for, so if you're keen to book it is best to get your booking fee and contract locked down as soon as possible. If multiple couples enquire for the same date, the date will go to whichever couple confirms their booking first, then the contract must be signed and booking fee sent within 5 days of receipt, otherwise the date will re-open to other couples.

HOW DO WE BOOK YOU?
All you need to do to book me is contact me via an e-mail to let me know your thoughts and, if you’d like to meet in person before booking, we can arrange a time to meet up. Then, if you’d like to go ahead with your booking, you just fill out a booking form, pay a £500 booking fee and we’re all good to go. Easy peasy!
Please note: I can only accept booking fees and other payments via bank transfer and do not accept PayPal*.
*Some exceptions apply - for example, when transfers are coming from another country where bank transfer is not an option.

WHAT HAPPENS IF WE DECIDE TO POSTPONE OUR WEDDING?
There is more information about this in my contracts, but to sum it up: if you postpone to another date within 15 months of your original wedding date, your package price will remain the same and a postponement fee of £300 will be required (which will come off of your final balance and is not an extra payment on top of the total package cost). If you postpone to another date out with 15 months of your original wedding date then pricing for the updated year will be applied to the invoice. If you choose to postpone to a date on which I am not available, the cancellation policy will apply. 

WHAT HAPPENS IF WE DECIDE TO CANCEL OUR WEDDING?
If you cancel within 90 days of your wedding, your booking fee will not be refunded and you won't have to pay any more money. From 90 days, a percentage of the final balance is to be paid which increases incrementally the closer to the wedding the cancellation is actioned. There is more information about this in my contracts, so if you would like to see a copy please let me know and I can email one across to you. If you cancel, the booking/cancellation fee as agreed in our contract may be used towards other services I offer such as couple shoots, family shoots, post-wedding shoots and anniversary shoots and must be used within 6 months of the original booking date.
