You've booked me!
Yaaaaay! Have I mentioned that I am OVER. THE. MOON. to be your photographer and can't wait to get to know you and be part of one of the most exciting days of your lives so far?!
The Legal Stuff: Your Contract
A wedding photography contract and invoice will have been sent to you which you can easily sign on your phone. Please read through this very carefully, sign it and let me know if you have absolutely any questions about anything in there. It'll ask you to sign with your finger like you would with a parcel - so fancy yet so simple! But, if you would prefer to do things old school I can send you a paper copy which you can sign, send back and then I'll upload a scan of it to the folder. Just let me know if you would prefer that!
Getting to Know You: Your Booking Form
It's really important to me to get to know the couples I work with, so in your booking form you will find questions about you and about your day. Feel free to ramble on lots - I love to read what couples want to write so put as much detail as you like! The booking form is editable right up to the day before the wedding - so you can add details or edit it whenever you have new information to add.
Venue Viewings/Coffee Meetings/Skype Calls
The other way I get to know my couples is by meeting them! Before every wedding I love to do a pre-wedding meeting. Depending on your venue, this could be in the form of a venue viewing, or if you have booked a pre-wedding photoshoot that's also a fab opportunity for us to meet. Otherwise, a coffee/drink or Skype/FaceTime hang out works too! Meeting you before the big day is very important to me - it not only breaks the ice but we also get a great chance to discuss plans for the day, talk about the things you are excited about and what personal details you plan on adding to make it unique to you as a couple.
Payments
Once you've paid your booking fee your date is officially secured with me! After then you can pay up the remaining balance in instalments or in one final lump sum - either way, the full balance is to be paid off on the 1st of the month prior to your wedding (so, for example, if you're getting married in August then your balance is due on the 1st of July). I'll send out a little reminder email when the final payment date is approaching, just to help you stay on track as I know you'll have loads of other things to schedule in and get done!
When the Day is Almost Here
A meeting or call the week before your wedding would be ideal so we can put faces to names and get comfortable with each other ahead of the day. A couple of days before the wedding, I'll send you a wee email or text just to check in with you and confirm my arrival time and double check location addresses.
